Our Visit at New Orleans

Jodi and I visited New Orleans to walk Bourbon St. and check out some sites most people would enjoy to visit.

We saw the historic Steamboat Natchez here on the Port of New Orleans,

We checked out the French Quarters…

We wanted to find the popular street that most people talk about and walk about.. The famous Bourbon Street….

      .

Having a drink on Bourbon Street just made it special..

Had a drink at the Musical Legends Park, Bronze statues of Fats Domino, Jumbo Hirt, and Pete Fountain.

We ended our walk of Bourbon Street with a great meal at the “Hard Rock Cafe”

Reliving my Drumming days..

Right above our table was a Jacket worn by Stevie Ray Vaughn.

And many other memorabilia like Eddie Van Halen’s Guitar.

We had a great day and enjoyed seeing all the colorful Mardi gras decorations along with some weird people..

Jodi and I wanted to say that we survived the bad tornado’s that went through our area, about a week ago that missed us but hit New Orleans East real bad, Keep all the People who lost everything in Prayer… This was to close for comfort for both of us, and hope we don’t have to go through this again, we know this does go with the territory of traveling.

We are about to leave the New Orleans area and head towards Texas. We are going to have a 6 day stop at Lake Charles, At Sam Houston Jones State Park, Louisiana.  Then heading to Houston Texas… See you guys then…

Stay tuned and see where we will Bobble to next!!

We are now starting to head West towards Texas, Arizona then Grand Canyon. We are going to start to head back to NY when we get to the Grand Canyon.

We are now here at Fontainebleau State Park in Louisiana…Jodi has added another State to our Map..

I real nice park with a small Beach and Pier on the Pontchartrain Lake… We have been here since the 1st of February and will stay till the 15th.. Spent our second day on the Beach and took some nice pictures.

Our first Beautiful Sun Set!!

We walked all over the park and found out that this place has some big and beautiful Live Oak trees.. Thanks to Jim and Sheryl Byrnes we met at Gulf State Park, they told us about the Oak trees here. Huge…

We also have some visitors here, we had a 5 foot alligator about 15 feet from the back of our RV in Gulf State Park, and now we have wild bores wondering in this park, its never boring in our travels..

This is our camping site for our stay here..

We are looking forward to walking down Bourbon Street in New Orleans.. We are going to cross the longest causeway in the world to get there. They say that the causeway over Pontchartrain Lake made the Guinness Book of World Records.   (24 miles long)..

When we head to New Orleans next week, we will post some more pics….  Hope you are all doing well this winter. Our thoughts are with all of you following Jodi and I on our travels…. Stay tuned and see where we go next….
