Gulf State Park/Gulf Shores, AL

Hello everyone, Jodi and I are enjoying our winter stay here in Gulf Shores Alabama with our folks right across from us. We still have one full month of January and then we head out west to hit the Grand Canyon and then back to NY for the summer. We will continue to keep you up to date with more exciting things that we see on our way back to NY. Wanted to share some more photos of some places we have gone while here.

We still have some other interesting sites to see while here like Pensacola Florida, Naval air museum, home of the Blue Angles, will post some of those later in the month of January.

Jodi Dad and Mom at the Beach near Fort Morgan, not sure what this tank is, but it washed up during last big Hurricane.

I think it is a Bowie weight.

Merry Christmas to every one out there that are following us all over the Country. We do hope everyone is being safe and staying warm.

Spending Christmas here with our Folks and staying here till the end of January.. We have traveled from NY to Alabama in the past 6 weeks, and enjoyed every bit of our travels to the South. We plan on staying put till we head to a State Park in Louisiana on or around the 1 of February 2017…… We have a few more repairs to have done the last few days of January before heading out west. So far we have gone to the Gulf Shores Zoo and walked on the Pier here at Gulf Shores, and watched the sunset. Took some nice pictures.

A quick note on the Gulf shores Zoo if your interested. My parents told us how the zoo survived the Hurricanes  of Ivan, Dennis and Katrina.

Fall in love with the real inhabitants of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo when you go behind-the-scenes into the day-to-day world of this 17-acre nonprofit, seaside zoo. Faced with utter destruction by Hurricanes Ivan, Dennis and Katrina, this little zoo stood up, fought back and made history as the first U.S. zoo to ever evacuate its animals during a natural disaster!

Hope all is well with everyone and that you all are staying warm.. We did have a few mornings that were low 30s, but now the days are upper 60s and even low 70s. We see some places up north are getting snow and cold cold weather… Jodi and I are wishing you all a super great Holiday season. Till next time I post an update with some new pictures, stay in touch or stay tuned in. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures I took. Go to the Photo Gallery on the main page and see some of the sunsets and pictures of some of the sites we visited on our way south..

Wishing you all a WARM AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
