Our stay at Lake Conroe Texas / Medina Lake Texas

We have added another state to our travel map!! Texas.. 

We left Louisiana and headed into Texas and stopped at Lake Conroe just north of Houston. These campgrounds are Thousand Trails campgrounds. We stayed at Lake Conroe for 3 days and then headed to Medina Lake just outside San Antonio.  We are at Medina Lake for 7 more days… Love the deer that come right up to you and your camping site…

Visited a small town called Bandera, cute town…West of San Antonio…

 

We are heading to Gruene, TX tomorrow for Jodi’s Birthday and having lunch at the Gristmill and may even hit the River Walk in San Antonio this Friday.  Will post more pics in a few days of our fun visiting and touring the next few days… Stay tuned…

Sam Houston Jones State Park

We only have a few days here and wanted to share some pictures see how nice of a park this is..

We didn’t see any Alligators, but they are here as you can see in the picture above… This was a Picture that was used by the park.    Courtesy of Sam Houston Jones Park. The other two above I took. 

We did have a small complaint, I didn’t know that the site we picked was going to have a road go right in front of our RV while parked.. Every one that wants to go by will be a foot away from our chairs.. Not going to stay in this spot again..  We did make the best out of it.. Had our fire across the road where we had lots of room.. 

We are heading to Texas in a few days and we are heading to Conroe Lake, Just North of Houston, Texas. We are only staying there for 3 days just so we can get to Medina Lake, just outside of San Antonio.. Time to visit some friends we have here in Texas.
