Lost Dutchman State Park

We made it to a State Park that we have been wanting to see for some time, we wanted a view and we got it… We could not wait to get here because of the View. We are here for the next week. A cold front just came through last night and dropped 9 to 12 inches of snow at the Grand Canyon and all across I-40 in and around flagstaff, AZ… Jodi and I were going to go to the Grand Canyon after our visit here at the Lost Dutchman, but now the weather is showing to be some snow and ice for the next few weeks. We had to cancel our trip to Grand Canyon! We are upset because we are less than 300 miles from the Canyon and we were really looking forward to it. We have a lot of Rv years ahead of us, so when we head out to see California, we will make the Grand Canyon a stop for sure later in the spring time, not April, more like May.. So now we are just going to take a detour and still head to Albuquerque, NM.

Above in the menu  bar is the photos of Lost Dutchman State Park. I took all of them and have more later this week to add… check them out.  Just a few sample pics…

Roper Lake State Park

Jodi added another state to our map!!

We are heading to the Lost Dutchman State Park tomorrow and wanted to post some pics of the State Park we stayed in for two day to break up the time from Big Bend Texas to Lost Dutchman State Park in Arizona….

Roper Lake State Park is a nice little park that has nice big mountains

and Hot Springs..

Yes we had a all natural Hot Tub in our Park from the volcanic activity under ground to keep it at 98 degrees. Mt. Graham and the Pinaleno Mountain Range is all around us here. We had coffee and spent our early morning enjoying the hot tub to our selves….

Tried to rain on us, but the rain never hit the ground…Taken at sunset.

We like the park, do recommend it if out west. We will come back again…

Will let you know what is going on at our next stop in a day or two… Stay tuned and keep following us.. where to next??
