We are at Myrtle beach now for the winter October 2017 to April 2018. We have enjoyed our trip from NY to SC. Stopping at Tobyhanna, PA, Fort Dix, NJ to visit Family. Back to Pottsville, PA, Mt. Solon, VA, then Jordan Lake State Park to visit some friends, and now Myrtle Beach….We have been here now for 9 days and we have had 7 warm sunny days and been on the beach and pool a few times, water is warm in the ocean and pool. walked about 15 miles around the park and beach. They also have an outside pool and an inside pool. Will be doing a lot of swimming. We are setting up in our spot. Most people enclose there shelters to be like a small extra room for sitting, watching TV or for the picnic table. We are using ours for our picnic table.

We where keeping an eye on Maria on the way down from NY to SC. Now we had to worry about Nate when it was developing in the Gulf, found out it was not going to effect Myrtle Beach, so we were very happy we did not have to evacuate like they did last year for Matthew. We do hope we are done with the Hurricanes for this year. Excited about being here for some time, love the beach and will be loving the indoor pool during the cold times.

Hello everyone, Yes we are heading south for the winter now, and was very concerned about IRMA heading to Myrtle Beach and that was going to deter us from going there if there was going to be any damage, but fortunately they are good and we are good…. We left NY last Friday and went to TobyHanna State Park in Tobyhanna, PA. Stayed there for 4 days. We hiked a trail all around the lake there. 5 miles around the lake and saw a porcupine and a mamma bear with her two cubs.. Was a real nice park. Now we are at NJ visiting the brother and sister in-law, Jack and Barbara Schirmer. We are staying at a park on Fort Dix, Army post. Nothing to brag about, but its a in expensive place for us to stay being close to Jack and Barbara….Will post some pictures here in a few days. Going to check out the Grounds for Sculptures today and will take pics… Hope all are doing well, stay tuned and there will be more to come. 

FYI, We are heading to three more places before our last stop at Myrtle Beach. We leave here and head to Pottsville for a few days so I can visit the oldest Brewery in the U.S. Yuengling Brewery since 1829. We then head to a park in VA for a few days, then to Jordan Lake State Park in NC for 7 days to see a few friends…
