Camp Elmbois, Hammondsport, NY

Hello everyone, Jodi and I are now in Upstate NY for the summer. We have been here now for about 3 weeks, but me being slow at updating this blog, I am sorry.. We have told you we are going to start doing some hosting jobs working at Campgrounds and we are now at our FIRST hosting job here in Hammondsport, NY our home town.. There is a nice small campground called Camp Elmbois just a few miles from where we grew up and went to high school.

This place started about 7 to 10 years ago and have been doing great ever since, and they also like to do a lot of wedding events or other events up here near the campground next to the two ponds they have here. The Place is called Camp Elmbois and ponds.

Bridge for great wedding pictures and event Tent..

We are loving it here and working to get things ready for weddings that they have just about every weekend for the whole summer. We are ready and looking forward to working all summer, except for when we go to the Vinette family picnic in July..

We are going to be here till about the 6th of September then we will be heading for our next hosting job in New Mexico for the winter… Till then, Jodi and I will keep you posted on some of the fun and adventures we will encounter while here and post some more picture later on.. Stay tuned and stay in touch, you all know you can comment on our stuff, and I will get back with you… Please do.. Thank you and keep on following us.. Till next post, have a great week, and great summer.. Stay safe too..

Us being Cool

Tobyhanna State Park Second Time

Hello everyone, we left Gifford Pinchot State Park Pennsylvania, had a good few days there. That park was our fourth stop when we started RVing two years ago-nice park. They are putting full hookups in some of the sites which will be good for us next time we go there again in the future. Here are some good sunset pictures we took at the beach at the park.

Now thats a good Camp Fire

We are now at Tobyhanna State Park in upstate Pennsylvania. This park is a nice park but you only get electric 30/50 AMPs and that is it. We forgot that the site did not have a water hook up, and we did not pay any attention as we pulled into our spot unhooked and set up, ooops, NO WATER! So you do have to fill your RV with fresh water before you get into your site. We have been doing this for over two years, and we just got so carried away and did not think that there was no water hook ups!!! Really!! Still making small mistakes. Well, I was glad that when we first started RVing, we bought a 45 gallon portable water bladder, and I have a pump that pumps water into our fresh water tank. So we just had to get the bladder filled and fill our RV with it.  Did it, done and now we are glad we had it. We will look next time to see if we have water at our site before unhooking and setting up. Wow, what a day…

Wonder if we are going to see any black bears at this park like we did last time we were here.

Raining for the next few days, hope it clears up for us to enjoy a few days here. I am pretty sure that the snow is no longer. This park has a small beach and has many hiking trails. We will be hiking while here.

Tobbyhanna State Park, PA

We will be here for the next week. Then we will head to Myers RV dealer/Service in Bath, NY for a few repairs and some annual services that we need done, spend the night at the dealer and head to Camp Elmbois the next day to start working as Camp hosts for the next 5 months. Time for us to get to work and still have a great time with our friends we have missed from our home town…

Will post again as soon as we get up to New York and begin our hosting job in Hammondsport, NY… Camp Elmbois for the next 5 months.

Looking forward in mid July for the Vinette family picnic at Hamlin State Park…NY Outside Rochester.. Fun Fun…

Stay tuned for our adventures of the next few months…
