Gulf State Park/Gulf Shores Alabama

Merry Christmas to every one out there that are following us all over the Country. We do hope everyone is being safe and staying warm.

Spending Christmas here with our Folks and staying here till the end of January.. We have traveled from NY to Alabama in the past 6 weeks, and enjoyed every bit of our travels to the South. We plan on staying put till we head to a State Park in Louisiana on or around the 1 of February 2017…… We have a few more repairs to have done the last few days of January before heading out west. So far we have gone to the Gulf Shores Zoo and walked on the Pier here at Gulf Shores, and watched the sunset. Took some nice pictures.

A quick note on the Gulf shores Zoo if your interested. My parents told us how the zoo survived the Hurricanes  of Ivan, Dennis and Katrina.

Fall in love with the real inhabitants of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo when you go behind-the-scenes into the day-to-day world of this 17-acre nonprofit, seaside zoo. Faced with utter destruction by Hurricanes Ivan, Dennis and Katrina, this little zoo stood up, fought back and made history as the first U.S. zoo to ever evacuate its animals during a natural disaster!

Hope all is well with everyone and that you all are staying warm.. We did have a few mornings that were low 30s, but now the days are upper 60s and even low 70s. We see some places up north are getting snow and cold cold weather… Jodi and I are wishing you all a super great Holiday season. Till next time I post an update with some new pictures, stay in touch or stay tuned in. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures I took. Go to the Photo Gallery on the main page and see some of the sunsets and pictures of some of the sites we visited on our way south..

Wishing you all a WARM AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Our Travels to Florida

_mg_1887-2Hello everyone, Jodi and I have added another State to our travel map yes Florida, and it is now our state of residence.

We are now Floridians!! We stayed in a small RV campground in New Smyrna Beach, Gold Rock RV Park.. It wasn’t as nice as the ones that were around, so next time we visit family here in Florida, we will stay at a better one.

We were hardly there at the campground anyway, we were visiting a lot with Jill and Don Brown, and Jane, Jodi’s Sisters and brother in-law. Had Thanksgiving with all of them and Don’s sons and family… had a great time with all of the family…

Our last day there, Jill and Don took us out on their boat for a nice ride to some islands on the Indian River. Spent a day walking the beach on one of the many islands.. It was sad to say good-bye to family, but we are moving on to spend the Christmas holiday with our other family, The Schuttler’s…

We headed to Three Rivers State Park outside Tallahassee, Florida. It’s a nice park, we have a nice spot on the lake. Our last stop before Gulf Shores Alabama for almost three months. Spending most of the winter there before heading to the Grand Canyon in late February.
