We have seen 31 States so far and some states are repeats. Sad to say, we will not be seeing the eastern states, most likely we will be seeing Michigan and the western states that are blank. 10 more states.
We are the Schuttlers, The Bobble Head Travelers. We have been dreaming of full time RVing for years. We both said that we need to do it before we wont be able to. So we started March of 2016. After much research and looking at all kinds of RVs, what kind to get, what floor plan, how many feet, 5th wheel or motor home. We watched so many how to RV videos and what to watch out for and what mistakes you don’t want to make having an RV. We are on our 8th year into our full timing and have been traveling all over the U.S. enjoying every bit of it too. We have seen most of the east cost from NY down to Florida, and moved west to California. We have spent three summers up in the Finger Lakes area. ( Our Home Town ) We have been camp hosting for about 6 years now all over the U.S. Our first was at a family Campground, Camp Elmbois, on the west side of Keuka Lake, one of the many finger Lakes in NY State. Our second camp hosting job was at a State Park in New Mexico for a winter place. We have hosted at Spooner Lake State Park a few summers just outside of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. We have even hosted outside of Las Vegas, NV at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge, the Largest Wildlife Refuge in the lower 48, Where the Big Horn Sheep roam. We hosted at Lory State Park outside of Ft. Collins, Colorado, summer of 2022. Loved it. For the winter 22 to 23, we hosted at a Florida State Park, Maclay Gardens State Park in Tallahassee, FL. We took this summer off to travel up the east coast to head to up north all the way to New York near the Finger lakes area once again to visit some friends and family, then back out West. We hosted at City of Rocks State Park, outside of Silver City, NM this past winter 2023 to 2024. We are now hosting just outside of Fort Collins, CO. At Bellvue Watson Fish Hatchery. Taking care and feeding over 200,000 trout, and maintaining the grounds of the fish hatchery. Love it and will come back again next summer, 2025.. We are heading to Arizona for the winter of 2024 to 2025 to work at a RV Resort in Florence, AZ. Desert Gardens RV Resort. Working in the gardens and maintaining the grounds of the resort.
We have found a nice winter location where we will stay for winters in Sierra Vista, AZ down near Fort Huachuca. We like the Resort a lot. The name of the resort is Vista View RV Resort, 55+ Park. We will stay for the winters then head up to the northern states in the summers for site seeing, for about 3 months, to get away from the real hot summer months in Arizona. We feel so connected out west, more then the eastern area of the country. We fell in love with the Western part of the country, so this will be our future home. Bye Bye East….
We love what we do and will hit every state we can in our next 5 to 10 year of traveling or till we can’t do it any more.
