We have been at our winter location for 6 1/2 months and have been enjoying our full retirement the whole time. I have not posted anything because we have been busy having fun doing NOTHING!!! That is not true, we have been doing plenty of things and still seeing stuff. We have beautiful sunsets and sunrises here in our Winter home location. If you don’t know we are at an resort named Vista View Resort here in Sierra Vista, Arizona, just about 30 miles from the Mexican border. The weather has been very very warm this winter. We may have had 11 mornings that only reached 32 degrees. We are not complaining, we love it here and the resort is a very nice place, and also the folks here are great. We have this as our Winter home for the foreseeable future; at least 3 to 4 more years. We really like the city of Sierra Vista. It has a lot to offer, and it also has an active Army post. Fort Huachuca is less than 15 miles away. We go shopping there occasionally.Â

Jodi talked me into doing karaoke after the first month of being here. I have never done that; I didn’t think I had it in me. Well, I did it once and now I am hooked. I have been doing lots and lots of songs in the past 5 months. Jodi sings many more songs than me. She is into hard rock. I am into a little more easy listening music. There is a place called Urban Axe Yard, a Veteran owned place. It has good rock-n-roll bands and karaoke nights, plus games. It is mainly an axe, knives, stars, & hatchets throwing type of place.  They also have pool tables and pinball tables with tournaments and an escape rooms. It’s a pretty cool place to take out your frustrations. Love going to this place. Â

Just a few pictures of us Rocking it on stage at both Urban Axe Yard and our Resort Clubhouse. Fun Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also keep busy by working out at the resort’s fitness center. Jodi has been working out every other day, as I am too, but I do chair workouts and walk two miles every other day. We both are feeling healthy and better about ourselves. It really feels like home to us now. We both are dropping a few pounds and I am losing the beer belly I had and getting slimmer. Both of us are feeling great.
I do not want to leave out the beautiful little precious love of our lives: IVY. She adds so much entertainment and joy to our everyday lives here in our RV home. She is a character!! She loves her Chewy box, and always being upside down in it. Runs 100 MPH throughout the RV. Talks all the time and just makes our day so complete. We love her so so much. She is everything to us. Our Fur BABY!!

Our Precious IVY
So, the weather here in the summer is very hot, and we do not want to be here when it gets to 110 to 115 in the months of June through September. So, we are heading north for the Summer, where it is a little cooler. We are going to the Tetons National Park in Wyoming the month of July. We are leaving here on the 15th of May and will take our time heading to Wyoming. We will take about 9 stops going up through New Mexico, Colorado, and into Wyoming. Then when we head back to Arizona in August, we will be going through Colorado, Utah then back to Arizona by September 1st. We’ll be in the cool winter of Arizona till June of 2027. We are then looking forward to heading to California for the summer of 2027 to check out Yosemite National Park.
I did not take this picture, but it is the Tetons in Wyoming. I do hope I get some real nice pictures while we are up in the Tetons.

So just letting you all know that we are doing great in the Southwest where we avoid SNOW, TORNADOES, FLOODING and HURRICANES. We like it out here and this will be our home for as long as we can do our RV adventuring. So, if anyone is out this way, keep us posted and come visit us when you can. Saying that, we are not likely to head East again due to all the bad weather that happens in the central states all year round, all the time. SORRY!! But we have done that and dealt with tornadoes and flooding and had enough stress of that in our travels over the years, so no more.Â
Thank you everyone who still reads and follow us during our travels, and hope you are all safe, healthy and being who you are that makes you all our good cheery friends.
