Gettysburg Farms CampGround (Thousand Trails) Pennsylvania

This is our last Stop before getting back up to our favorite spot up on my parents property..

View from RV

We miss and love this cozy spot up on the Schuttler Keuka View Resort hill top….

Just before our stop here in PA, we added our last state of our first year and 2 months on the road…. Bulltown, West Virginia.

WV. It does have some history.  We stayed at this Corps of Engineers Campground. It was a nice place with full hookups. Some spot on the water, we did not want any on the water, we had enough bad storm experience with us being on the water.  This place we stayed there for a few days and headed to PA. We have been to Pennsylvania two other times before this trip to Gettysburg, we were here a year ago and didn’t see everything, so we went back to see the rest.

On November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivered a short speech at the end of the ceremonies dedicating the battlefield cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. That speech has come to be known as the Gettysburg Address.

This campground is nice. It has a Farm on it and was turned into a campground. We have some Farm animals here.

Always wanted a John deere..

We have a nice spot and here for about 4 more days and then heading up to NY…

We will be heading home to NY here in a few days, and once we get all set up we will let you know.. Looking forward to seeing some family and friends when we get there…. Hope all have been doing well and trying to stay safe from all the bad storms… Be safe and keep following where we will Bobble to next..

Cherokee Landing Near Memphis, Tennesee

I thought I had posted this a few days ago, and found out after arriving at a campground near Nashville that I did not post it. We are in a campground called Natchez Trace outside of Nashville. Weather is rainy, and not much to do here. We are not pleased with this Thousand Trails campground. Most good sites are taken by Annual campers, and weekend campers who live in the area. Not to many big sites for someone like us. Will not come back to this place.

Anyway, here is my lost post…

We have added another state to our travel map. Yes we added one that we were not planning on adding, but we did.

Mississippi..

Also just added Tennessee..

We wanted to leave Beard’s Bluff because the weather was looking real bad again for us, and we did not want to be on the lake with no protection. So we stayed at an RV park south of Memphis, TN. It was in Southaven, Mississippi, so we added another state.

We had a few hours to site see some of Memphis before another bad storm was going through our area AGAIN…

We then traveled to a Thousand Trails Campground outside of Memphis, but a little to far to drive to site see. We are staying at Cherokee Landing. It is a campground that needs plenty of work, and it has a new owner and will be in better shape in a few years. It does not have very many full hookups, but they are working on that for the future.

The weather was looking bad for us today, but it was not as bad as we thought. This bad weather has been causing lots of flooding, deaths from tornadoes, tornadoes all over.. Not sure what is going on with all of the bad weather, but we can’t wait to get in NY where it is a little safer from Tornadoes. We are heading to another Thousand Trails RV Resort near Nashville, TN. Still not close enough to go site seeing. We will in the future. We are heading closer and closer to NY… Keep us in prayers.

Stay tuned and we will let you know whats going on again soon at our next location… Storms and all…
